Boiler / Air Heater Tuning We have now expanded our activities in the area of
energy auditing in thermal and electrical energy systems and
are equipped with sophisticated flue gas analyzers for tuning
thermal energy generation systems, such as boilers and air heaters.
Why Boiler / Air Heater Tuning?
Energy generation in boiler / air heater is through chemical
reaction of combustion where fuel oil is combusted generating
heat. In order to get the maximum possible output from the fuel
combusted, combustion systems should be efficient.
Boilers / air heaters should be tuned for the combustion
systems to be efficient and the general recommendation for
optimum running conditions and maximum savings is to tune
your boilers / air heaters on a quarterly basis. The usual
saving potential in boiler / air heater tuning is in the range
of 5% to 10 % and it has very attractive payback periods.

and recommendation of experienced professional staff.

Boiler / air heater tuning is provided through a promotional
scheme of rates, to achieve the national benefit of savings
and to encourage regular boiler tuning exercises in industry.
Within a 50km radius from the location of the ECF, our charges
for measurements under the scheme are given in the table below.

For companies located further than 50km away from the ECF, additional
transport charges at a rate of Rs 13.00 / km will be charged.
Group / Annual Packages The ECF also offer Annual Packages for tuning boilers
quarterly and if you have a group of industries, you can make
use of Group Package. Both Packages carry discounts of 10% and
an awareness programme on “Liquid Fuel Combustion and
Efficient Air Heater Operation” will be carried out for
such package agreements.
Awareness Programmes on Energy &
Energy Management
The Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority conducts awareness programmes to
energy consumers in the industrial sector to increase their
awareness on energy conservation. Tailor-made workshops are
carried out for industrialists based on their needs in order
to focus the specific process requirements. These programmes
are free of charge for the clients of energy audits and group/package
boiler tuning programmes. We conduct programmes on:
