| The overall objective of the energy management programme is to enhance economic activity of the country without making an additional burden on the energy sector – the expectation is to keep the level of energy intensity in economy at 500 toe/XDR. It is observed that this can be achieved by realizing energy conservation equivalent to 20% of the energy consumption of year 2010, by 2020. The energy management programme launched by SLSEA has 4 facets as per given below, and the scope of the activities is to support energy efficiency improvement and conservation in all sectors, namely industrial, commercial and domestic consumer categories. |
