Geographic Information System (GIS) is a rapidly growing technological field that integrates geographical features with tabular data in order to assess real-world problems and make intelligent decisions.
Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority GIS (SEAGIS) is facilitates stakeholders to identify potential of energy sources such as Hydro, Wind, Solar, Biomass etc.
In addition, site verification, processing of Applications, Screening & Granting Approvals including Project Evaluation & Progress Monitoring has been now more efficient with the use of SEAGIS. |

The SEA Web Geographic Information System was launched on 24th September,2009 in order to facilitate prospective developers to find a suitable location for new renewable energy projects as well as existing developers to know their present status of their projects . |

Project Profile |
| |
Project profile is presented to developers of renewable energy projects who have gained exclusive rights to develop a particular renewable energy resource through the resource allocation process. This project brief is organized into several sections, each section providing information useful to cover certain aspects of the project. On the developer’s request, SEA provides a complete project profile booklet including following layers and information at a cost of Rs 15,000. |
